Default ACE250's hair was getting kinda long, went to the BARBER

Went back to the middle school field where I had found the 1958 Washington quarter the day before. I only worked for 2 hrs and came up with a bit over $3 in clad and also a silver snuff (coke?) spoon that was deep enough to make me question the cola useage.
Also found a 1912 Barber dime, my first Barber coin!...real worn, but still had me thrilled, doin' the dance. Funny thing was, the ACE was IDing back and forth between nickel and dime. I pulled the plug, stuck the pipointer down and it buzzed the corner of the hole. A carefull slice brought out a bent, rusty nail. Hmmmm...replaced the plug, but before tamping it down, scanned the hole/plug again...ding ding...locked on dime now...pulled the plug, flipped it over and there she was...looking all Barberish.
On the way out, I found the men's .925 ring (my 17th ring since 1/06)
I'll be back <-Arnold impression

Good job man. Thought I found my first silver yesterday, but it turned out to be a 1983 dime. Oh well, farmers drop change too I guess.

Barber coins are sweet. Those barber dimes can be worth some $ if you get a decent date. Looks like you have found some good spots. It's all about try, try, try, until you find a good spot. Then work it to death.

Nate and I spent about 35 minutes checking out an 1820's house. Seems like it has been detected before. We found one wheat penny, a few coins and some misc. junk. Going to try again tomorrow.

later
