Had a great afternoon door knock with Gonebeeping. First yard was a little weird so we left after a few wheats and a small Sterling pendant that Kenny gave to the home owner. That Karma paid off almost immediately for Kenny at the next door knock.
We knocked a 1917 yard that apparently was the home of the first mayor of the small town we were in.
We got a wheat or two and then Kenny pulled a 1903 Canadian Large cent! A real surprise down here in NE Tennessee. Beautiful coin.
I pulled a nice 1941 Merc for silver #35 on the year. After that started pulling some older stuff. First was the old silver plated fork then a really nice 5 cent trade token from J. L. Gibbs Lunch Room. Next up was a deep dateless Buff, #3 FTY, and then another deep toasted token from Palace Billiard Parlor, Maryville, TN. Then dug a Two Bits play coin.
I also dug 3 pocket knives including the smallest one I ever dug.
I also got an old junker ring that says USN and seems to have been gilt or gold plated. Hit like an iffy nickel. Any info on the ring would be appreciated
The 11 wheats put me at 328 FTY.
Great hunt. Thanks for knocking Kenny.
