Default These are a few of my favorite finds

Well, seeing as the metal detecting season is pretty much over in the north of the country, and the year is almost over, I thought it would be cool if everyone reposted their favorite finds of 2008 in this thread. Mine are my mom's high school class ring lost about 30 years ago, a 1972 key date Indian head penny in great condition, my biggest silver - a 1941 silver half dollar, an 1863 British large cent, and my oldest silver - an 1892 Barber dime. So let's see your favorites!

Great finds. Gotta love the Walker - such a beautiful coin. I wish the US Mint would produce coins like this again - even if they were clad.

blamking, your finds top mine but I got into the hobby in may, so i dont think i have done bad.My best finds are my 1874 seated liberty dime, 1886 indian head, and my 6 wheaties(17,19,28,30,44,50) and my buff(not pictured). All except 2 wheaties were found at an old school house(thanks tony48). A couple of days after the contest. but i thought i ended the year right.
:spin: Sorry about the pic. Will do better when I get a new camera after christmas.
