Talking Newbie Intro

Hi Everyone!
I have been lurking for a month or so and finally joined up. I am new to the hobby - my brother got me into it early this summer by giving me his old detector when he bought a new one. Been having a blast detecting my yard (live in an 1880's farmhouse) and finding some good stuff. In full research mode now as there is snow on the ground :tumble:

Welcome from northern California. We're glad to have you aboard.

Since you've been "lurking" for a while, you likely have figured out that the advanced feature of the forum's search engine is very helpful in cruising through older posts.

I know the Michigan weather has put a damper on your hunting right now, but post things as you find 'em...we love pictures and stories.

What in the heck are we going to do until spring, bro??!
You should post some of the finds you've made.

And REMEMBER, I tried to give the detector to you and you insisted on paying me for it.
I'm glad you've enjoyed it so far.
