Default Watch Help

I was in my garage going through some boxes I bought at a auction and found a old watch. It is made by the Larmin W. Co. Swiss. The case is 14K Gold and the watch has 15 jewels. Really surprised me when I found it and I have searched Google and Yahoo and have had no luck finding any info on the watch co. I found a couple pocket watches from the late 1800's but nothing much is said about them. I have searched for a hour with no luck at all. I thought some of you all may know a thing or two about old watches. Thanks.

A picture of the watch might help to ID it.

Here's a quote from this url: http://www.instappraisal.com/content...ock-collectors

"It is an Elgin case rear movement # 6991406. It says "Larmin" (Chromometre) on the front face. The main gear says 15 Rubis & 1a It is great condition and works. I believe it is from the late 1890s"

I go to auction houses around here and I have a booth in one of the local indoor flea markets. I buy a lot of box lots as they are called. Just a box with anything mixed up in them. I sort through them picking out what I can sell and rebox everthing else up and take them back to the auction to get rid of them. I found the old watch in one of the boxes. There was some modern jewelry and two old timex watches in there also.I thought that the watch looked odd as I was sorting through it. I have found a few peices of silver before too. I tried getting a pic of it and tried to scan it with no luck. I will try again.

Nice watch, kystonewall! Too bad you can't get it repaired and wear it!
