Default F2 and the 10 inch coil?

Knowing that the F2 is a "starter" detector, what depth should I expect from the 10 inch coil. I live in northern Ohio in an old rural area that was farmed a lot.

Question 2: I am taking a vacation in a couple months and wanted to know if the F2 will do a satisfactory job of searches on the NC beach??

Thanks

Im not sure about the 10 in coil. I have an F2 with an 8 in coil. our ground is pretty thick here, and I can hit a good target 6-7in sometimes 8 inches down.

As for the beach, I took mine to Myrtle Beach, SC, and stuck to the dry sand and did well. The wet sand gave it problems, but you might try to turn the sens all the way down and try it that way.

hope that helps
Justin
