Default Some kind of coin?

.I have had this as long as I can remember and it just re-surfaced when I was looking for something else. Anyone have a clue? It is about the size of a penny. Thanks in advance as I know we have some coin wizards amongst us............ Jan

It looks like a Silver Penny of Great Britain, English but more properly Norman,...William I...(1066-1087)

What I can't be sure of is whether or not it is a copy or the real thing.

Thanks,
Bill

Will need to know a few things first.Where are you Janster,USA or Europe. Its a hammered coin by the looks of it.Whats the exact size in mm diameter. Was it a find or part of a collection?.It looks to me like a james 1st,Heny II but will need a more clearer piccy of the bottom pic.Its a short cross anyway.
