Smile School Yard Finds

Still learning the sounds and settings of my new Whites M6. And what better place to learn than an old school yard!
This old school, built round 1917 has been renovated. In the renovation dirt was moved around in places, so Im first trying to target the more settled places, like near the old fence's, and near old trees.
I have only been twice so far for a few hours. Here are some pics. No silver yet, but the 2 wheat backs, and the thin brass horse head give me hope of better things to come.
I have questions about 2 of the items here. The round heavy metal cap, or base has " Stanley USA " on it. Anyone know what this was? And there is what looks to be a small 22 cal. shell with the letters " US " on the base
?

i think that stanley cap that you have there, comes from an old ratchet flip screw. they were afixed to the left/right gear insides of the ratchet. but in my caculations on date may be off mid 1900's.

Fugazi may be on to something there. I Googled "Stanley SW" and got a ton of hits. Try it out.

I think you may have a good place to hunt there, where there's wheat pennies there has to be silver! Good luck, Jim

From the looks of your finds, I would say that site has much more to offer. Good luck.. RickO

The Stanley thing could be a decorative insert off an old block plane or wood handled square. Same logo so it's definitely the tool company.

It came from an old tool. I don't know the exact tool but Stanley is the manufacture and the SW in the heart logo is for sweetheart.
