Great machine for coins or relics but land only, it doesn't like the wet sand with its single frequency.
Suffers the usual Minelab problem of not a very good balance and the coils a little heavy which hip mounting can't cure. Rear mounting the control box under the armrest solves both problems. Much faster sweep speed can be used than the Minelab multifrequency machines or detect slow if you want. Super fast shut down between targets that allows good targets to be picked up close to trash without sacrificing depth. Use minimum discrimination and you get great depth whilst still eliminating small iron. Up to 40 hours from eight AA batteries. The earlier version (Tribune) is very similar in performance but had a lower frequency (5khz). Think the Musketeer is around 6khz. Its also worth buying if you spot one cheap but they are all getting pretty old now so the Musky is the better bet. Can't help on U.S. price I'm afraid. __________________ |
