For the Okiedigger,
The 8" coil is working great. I found a 925 sterling silver Italy bracelet today. I got a dime at 7 inches and many of the coins are 6" deep. With this coil if I see an 18 it's a nickel just like the 5" coil. I'm getting pretty good on pinpointing with the DD coil. Rob __________________ |

Rob, that 8" Excelerator on the MXT is almost like cheating
I love that coil. You can turn up the gain to +2 and hardly hear a crackle out of it. The VDI's are right on also. I like it much better than the stock 950 coil. If you think you're hitting an area that the 8" Excelerator is not quite getting deep enough, you might look into getting the 1400DD from White's. I got a dime VDI reading at 7" yesterday and it came through loud and clear. Sure enough, it was a dime at 7". Of course I probably would have found it with the 8" as well, but I was covering a lot of ground yesterday.

Right now I'm limited to parks, school yards, and some preserves so I'm fine. I think I read you dig pennies I've got around 1000 since the beginning of the year. The bracelet wasn't special but it's worth the 1000 pennies. Rob

Oh, I hate digging zincs. I'll pass them up unless I'm just not finding anything else. That's the great thing about he MXT, it will tell you the difference between a zinc, an IH and a copper penny.
