Talking Hi Folks!

I'm new here, guess I need to start somewhere. Just picked up my new detector yesterday and took out my 2 daughters to a local park and ended up finding a small sterling silver ring, 2 quarters, a dime, a nickle, a penny (passed on a bunch of those) and a button.....we are hooked! If I'm not out chasing coyotes I will be doing this!

Welcome, RanUtah, where do you live? I'm a native Utahan, but now living in Oregon. Can't wait until I take another trip back that way to some of my favorite ghost towns.

Glad to hear you're getting out with your daughters, and having some decent success as you get started in the hobby.

One thing I might suggest, however, depending upon the site's you're hunting, is to get an accessory coil, such as the 5.3 Eclipse. That big 12" coil can be a bit too much for trashy and/or brushy sites.

Keep us posted on how you do.

Monte
