hi,
i put together my first elctrolysis rig tonight. it is 12v, 1,200mA. i asked this question on another board here. my bad. it is taking a really long time to clean my chucky cheese game token. the token like many other finds here are sort of covered with a quasiconcrete when they are in the ground a long time here. i guess i just have to watch it to see when pieces i put in that thing are done.:spin: __________________ |

A couple of tips.
Use a teaspoon of baking soda as an electrolyte, and the closer the 2 electrodes(stainless steel spoon and your token) are, the better it will work. __________________ |

is it suppose to disolve the spoon (the anode i believe)?

No, the spoon being the anode, will get covered with some of the crud from what you are trying to clean which is the cathode.
If the token is covered with that quasy concrete stuff, things might not work too well. You need to have a good electrical contact with the clip that is holding the token. __________________ |
