Default Here's another oldie!

Since Saturday's hunt didn't produce anything great, I figured I post an oldie and get everyone motovated to hunt in this HEAT. I don't know how you guys down south do it!! This is a 1805 Half Cent I found at an untouched site a while back. It was in excellent dry soil. They don't always come out this way. I will try and put together a personal albulm later of my better finds for everyone to see. And I promise to find better things next time out HH.

Thats quite a beautiful coin. What does to 200 on the bottom of the back stand for?

That's its value: 1/200th of a dollar.

very, very nice coin. did you dig it? It's hotter than hades here on the left coast of floriduh right now, early morning or late evening hunts still work. Just getting thru a work day is tougher than you could believe, trust me.

Default Dug Coin, YES. Here's another

[QUOTE=Davest;154952]very, very nice coin. did you dig it? QUOTE] Hi, Yes it was a dug coin. Usually they are what we term "DOGMEAT" with the mineralization up here. But every once in a while, if the soil is real sandy, you get this. I have other coins from this site. Here's a 1795 Liberty Capped Large cent found about 30 feet fron the half cent. By the way, the half cent was the NEWEST coin to come from this site. HH
