Default Newbie curious ( gallup NM )

new to the hobby mostly investigating still. i haven't bought a detector yet still checking out all the options and trying to get the finances right. i do some goecaching and thought this would complement that hobby. i love the out doors and discovering new places and history. i had some major medical problems in the last year and have to find some hobbys that involve a little less physical demands but i think i can still do this, just at my own pace. would welcome any sugestions and if there is anyone near Gallup NM would enjoy getting to know some othes in the area with similar interests. also if anyone in NM area has a used detector for sale i might be interested.

Welcome to this great hobby Roadking. Glad to have you aboard.

There are some here that enjoy geocaching and detecting too. We call it geodetecting. Read about some of our experiences here:

Welcome to the forum Roadking . I also hunt with the Ace 250 I really enjoy mine . I also have medical problems that limit my hunting somewhat . But you have to learn your hunting for fun and hobby not for a living and do it to the exstend that its fun and not laboring , hunt when you can and don't when you can't . Don't get upset at the begaining take it slow and learn your machine only time and practice will do that , if you got a question ask it cause theres some really good people on here that will do all they can to help you and answer your questions as best they can and from there past experiances . Good hunting also post your finds if you can we all enjoy seeing others finds . HH Harold
