Default my first two rings

I finally snapped a picture, of my first two rings that I found metal detecting. I bought my Garrett Ace 150 back in mid April. Both rings were found in my yard, literally days apart.
The souvenir ring was the first, found in my front yard, about 6" down. It's a split-type-one-size-fits-all, and has an embossed image of a horse saddle on each side. The top is smooth but stained, and I assume, had some sort of stone attached to it. It was in rough shape, after obviously being hit and bent, probably by a mower blade. I was actually able to form it back to shape by using a round tapered punch as an anvil, and small block of wood to form it.
The second was the silver ring, with pink/grey spotted finish. I was surpised how well the outside finish had survived, being buried about 6" deep as well.

Default just a bit greedy

Yes.. but call me "greedy". I still would like to find a gold ring, wedding ring, high school ring, ear ring (might of come close on the ear ring, but it seems the mower found it first as well), platinum or silver jewelry that the mower hadn't found first! Although the costume ring seems to of eluded the mower blades. It came close to finding my shovel, but then... I was looking for what I figured was a penny..not a ring.

I'm still working on other pics of my finds, but those are the only rings I have found to date.

Finding that first ring is a challenge at times. I see more of them in your future. Jim

Smile my first two rings

I have found rings kind of hard to come by dirt digging. You did a great job of saving and re-shaping it. I am sure this is just the start of your ring finds. Congratulations!!
