Mike, glad to hear you got out for a bit.
What are you using for a detector?

Hi Mike,

Is the question on the Wader/Diver?

What kind of rusted steel?

Big chunks will get through no matter what. Nails, tent pegs and screws will give you a double beep as you sweep past the ends.

I run my Wader with the Disc set at two or three most of the time. Doesn't quite mask off all the ferrous, but gives me a shot at gold jewelry. The ferrous sounds are still distinguishable from the good targets.

Hey Mike...

On my Diver which is just about the same machine you have except mine is waterproof down to 100 feet.. I don't get much noise from iron unless its something big but I don't dig any iron even bottlecaps because they have a scratchy tone.. I dug more iron with my Excal than I have dug with my Diver..

My settings vary by beach but I have my settings mainly the same as Rudys although I can get away with discrimination set at 1 and the sensitivty set at 9... you are better off with the dicrimination set at 2, I'm used to hunting with a PI so a little bleed over doesn't bother me

So I hit one today 3cent but was able to test unit better and man hope to hit some beaches soon to find the big rings like i did in the past. Best to all and from what I can see the lane and all did great, not to metion the old man across thhe pond Craig. Now can some one tell me were the hell is spell check.

You can only use the forum spellcheck with Internet Explorer, and it's something you have to download. Plus your settings have to be set to Enhanced Editor. I can set your settings, but you would have to do the rest.

I'm using Foxfire 2.0 and it has inline spell checking.

Glad you got out and got some exercise and sunshine. Don't overdo it though.
