Default nooooob

hi, I'm a new guy on the forums here hopefully I will be making lots of posts in the future. A little about myself.....I work durring the week and play on the weekends. I had a radioshack MD when I was about 15 or so. Asked for it for Xmas ,I was hoping for a bit nicer but I played with it for a while. Fast foward to 2008 and I want it agian. A little older now and can afford my own fun toys. As of now I do not have a detector but I will prolly buy 2 one for my lady and a bit nicer for me(even though she will no doubt out hunt me, long story) but I plan on doing wood, park, and beach hunting. I live in NC. I will read around but any pointers would be great. Thanks

Welcome to the forum.... there are great sections here on choosing your detector.. I would suggest studying them... then see how your interest/dedication overlays with the types/level/cost of the machines... your decision will become fairly obvious. Good luck.. RickO
