Default So close at the "quarterback" school

Started detecting it in April 2007. 15 more quarters today and am now 2 short of my goal of 200. If I didn't give those pesky kids(last week) a few I would have "officially" reached it

Sitting at 159 dimes, I may shoot for 200 of them also. I know I was passing some over as at the end I was just digging quarters and nothing else.

OZ, the greedy one

Almost 200 quarters! I'll bet that makes a nice pile on your table.

Went back today and tried a different section of the school. This time I set the Ace to discrim on the low end (nickels) and higher end (quarters). Figure I'll either find a nickel, ring, quarter or junk. Guess which I found the most of

Still ended up with 7 quarters, 4 nickels and one dime.

My "buddies" showed up again and I found out they were brothers. Found a shallow pocket spill and they were amused when I coin popped 2 nickels, a dime and a quarter from the same hole. One was smart and vamoosed when I started finding mostly junk (while trying for nickels). The other one stuck around groaning ever time I unearthed can slaw and other junk. I did find one trinket, alas not silver. I also gave the kid two more quarters for sticking around.

Anyway, I finally surpassed the 200 quarter mark (now at 205 in 19 visits).

Good job OZ! Wonder if the kids are asking their parents for a metal detector yet?

Cool

Congrats on the quarters , Oz....as for giving coins to the kids, I'm afraid I'd have an army of the little rascals waiting for me on return trips if I ever started that...I have enough trouble getting rid of them , as is...HH Roadrunner
