hi everyone!
sunday went back to the old 1870's house.found a 1943-p silver war nickel.4 wheaties,2 penny blanks(the copper blanks were made at scovills here in watebury and shipped to Denver to be minted)a pretty cool buckle or suspender latch.its half brass and the back portion is stamped sterling silver?weird.and a old lighter made by parker with a patent date on bottom of april 2,1912 made in austria.and this brass thing thing thats marked "the scholl FOOTEASER" pat feb 25,08.now we all know this wasn't patented in 2008.how can this thing be comfortable in your shoe? my god.i guess dr.scholl has come along way since then!!!wow looks painful. well, have a great week all! dave in ct __________________ |

yeah,i was talking to this 80 yr old man and he worked at scovills in the 1940'-50's.i told him some of the stuff i found and i brought up blanks the size of pennies.he said ya know scovill's made the blanks and shipped em to denver.they were punched out 28 blanks per sheet of copper.that explains why i find so many around here.workers musta pocketed them.
