Default Heading to Lynn Haven/Panama City Beach, FL Next Week

Anyone know of any good places to detect around there? Also, any good shops around to check out? We will be there the whole week of Thanksgiving and I'm bringing my Ace.

Thanks in Advance

Jim

I don't know much about that specific area, but I do not while researching Florida history, Pensacola and Ft. Walton Beach show up quite often. The panhandle and west coast have quite a bit of history.

Hey Jim, as you might know PC Beach is a big time spring break community and is really buzzing the rest of the summer. There are a couple of places that I would not miss those being "the strip" which is Front Beach Road. There are about 13 miles of beautiful beaches along the strip lined with shops and places to eat which most are closed this time of year plus many more miles at the north end and south end. The Emerald Coast is some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The other place I would not miss is the beaches behind the super clubs Spinniker and Club LaVela at the north end of Thomas Drive, ask anyone. Those would be my two top choices followed by St Andrews State park at the south end of Thomas Drive. It is basically a man made lagoon with breakers and beaches where the bay meets the ocean.
Then after that the places to detect would be just up and down the beaches behind the hotels and condos. To be honest, my favorite time of the year is this time of year when only the locals and some "snow birds" are there.
Hope this helps? If you have any more questions please ask.

Tim
