My garrett sea hunter 2 works great in the mineralized california beaches and black sand doesnt affect it.

Thumbs up

Tesoro Sand Shark
Whites Dual Field

These two machines are as good or better than ANY other PI beach machines on the market. I use the 8" Sand Shark with great success. Good Luck!

Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II
Garrentt Infinium
Whites Duel Field
Tereso Sand Shark

The Duel Field is probably the most popular.

The Garrett more versatile with changeable coils and headphones.

Garrett Infinium, I do not have any experience with, just what I have seen on the forums. Expensive but work great.

The Sand Shark the cheapest but does have a lifetime warranty but could be expensive shipping it back from the UK.

Check for the uS.... the lower the better for smaller gold. Black sand ect doesnt affect a PI so thats not an issue more than getting the best for what you intend to use it for.
