Well I went back out to the local park again and found 5 more Zinc Pennys and One really nice 1910s Wheat Penny. It was only about 2 inches under the ground. Funny thing about it though was at the point I pulled it out of the ground some kid went by and said "Just a penny". I laughed when I saw the wheat mark on the back. I have a question though because this coin is in pretty good shape for being that old. How do you clean it properly so I can get full value out of it. I also found another junk ring and the usual can tabs and foil and nails. I only hunted for 50 minutes because the bugs were getting really bad as the sun started going down.
Coinage to date since purchasing my Whites Prizm 2 on 9-4-07. Total $1.06us. 1 Quarter, 5 Dimes, 1 Nickle, 25 Zinc Pennys, 1 Wheat Penny, 1 Canadian Penny. 2 Junk Rings. |
