Default ~First First First (1700's copper, CW token, & Eagle Button)~

This last week has been to say the least, a very good week for me. It all started last Sunday with a new MD buddy I had met a few weeks back (not on the forum). He has really challenged me to think outside the box to find the really great stuff and Sunday was one of those days. Got my first eagle button, civil war token and I hit my first ever 1700's coin. 1799 George III half penny. It's really worn and took me hours to ID, but Iron Patch confirmed it, so that makes it official to me.

The rest of the week was very busy with kids in soccer again, and work. I hit a couple sidewalks but nothing that amounted to anything until Friday when I got to a construction project. Nothing really special, but I did manage 7 wheats with the third being my 100th wheat penny. Also got a really cool bar token, and a bent up token that when I was able to open it revealed the most peculiar phrase

Today, I got out again and was able to score my 2nd Buffalo of the year and it's in extremely nice condition for a dug buff.

Also dug 2 more wheats to finish the weekend with 9 total. The funny thing was, my last wheat dug (1917) had "HH" scratched into the reverse. Pretty cool to end the hunt with a personal happy hunting message.

Congrats on some great finds, the copper is just amazing! That Buff is in great shape and congrats on hitting 100 wheats! I have a fealing that this stuff is just the beginning of what you're going to find the rest of this season! By the way the bar token is very cool!

That's one heck of a week. I think only another metal detectorist would leave a wheat back penny with HH on it. Pretty sweet

A fantastic week for you "Game". A King George in Wisconsin and the buffalo is in wonderful condition. Add to it getting to the 100 wheat plateau. You have gone places I can only wish. You have earned the featured post to top it off. Great effort and a very deserving MD'er. Jack

That design seems to be a common design. It's my second like that this year. Here is a pic of the other one. It was also for trade.
