Default ACE-250 and lowtide wetsand scores again

I dunno why it sounds like general consensus is to keep the 250 away from wet sand...

I seem to have no problem.

I found another .50 cal bullet and 12 cents. On a short hunt tonight

The Ace 250 is a fun machine. It will work on wet sand but there is no depth. You will never find gold at 9 inches. It is nice to see someone who feels pennies and a bullet are a score. I can see you are excited. As you learn more your opinion will change.

Not bad... I used to use my ace 250 in the wet sand, the trick was to swing on the wet or the dry, once you cross that invisible line it would false every time.... Good luck and HH!

I like the 50cal. bullet. Keep stackin' that clad. It adds up quickly. What a pleasant looking evening...

The 250 will work on wet sand, I have one, but by turning the sensitivity down to where it will work, it becomes a surface target only machine. Gold is 9 times heavier than sand, so it sinks out of the 250's range very quickly.

The 250 is a great tool for the dry sand, just not the best tool for the wet sand. I have buried a dime 8 inches in the wet sand and my 250 will not hit it, dry sand no problem.

Default I use 6 of 8 Sens in the wet sand ALL DAY LONG...

with no problems. Now the caveat... That is here in NW Florida on the white sand beaches of the Gulf Coast. It may NOT work well in other areas, but all you "black and white" school of thought folks need to change your thinking. Especially the ones who say the 250 WILL NOT WORK PERIOD in wet sand, you are just dead wrong about that. There probably is some combination of wet sand that it won't work in but I have found all forms of clad, a silver ring and a titanium ring in the wet sand well below "surface target" depth.

Note the depth of the hole in the background... five inches in the sand under 4 inches of water, 925 silver

The two bullets I have found, we're both at four inches or so. Along with an inch of water on top. Same with that corroded penny.

I used my 250 for 3 days in wet sand in North Carolina. Deepest target I hit was a penny at 5-6 inches. Seemed to work well, I hunted 4 times with each hunt under an hour and I was able to pull in a little over 8$.

it will get it real shallow with the sens set low, otherwise, it is useless, pennies and bullets are strong targets and hard to miss,,,,,gold, is a different animal, when you dig neckles @ around 4 to 6 inches,,,you are real close to gold,,,keep at it,,I think if you invest in another machine, you fun will turn to addiction like the rest of us! lol

I'm not in it for money.
I'm in it for the finds

Anything I don't normally see is something fun to me!
I guess that makes me a relic hunter

I'm in the process of funding for an AT PRO though
