Default Unusual finds for me

Had the day all to myself so I thought that I would do some detecting. I had my trusty Fisher F4 & decided to give the 8" round coil a try. I had a great day and found lots of coins. I had a "hit" at 6 or 7 inches that read as .50 on my tid. I dug it up and I found this coin that I can't identify. It is in good shape but very dark and dirty. I can make out the words Canada/one penny/token/Montreal/and the year 1842. From my research on google it comes up with half penny but mine clearly says one penny. It is the size of a 50 cent piece or alittle bigger. Also I found a keychain type thing. It has 2 swords that are crossed at the top left/looks like a guy with armour and a helmet holding a sword on the middle left/and what looks to be 3 flowers beside each other on the bottom left. Thanks! Steve...
P.S. I don't have a good enough camera to post a picture.

Smile No camera needed...

Hi Steve!
I have a camera that works well, but I find it much easier to use my scanner to post pics on this forum...If you have a scanner, give it a shot...

Hi Tvic25, I don't have a scanner. The only scanner I have is a police type scanner actually I have too many of them. I love electronics. Steve.
I think the coin is too dark color to make out anything even if I could scan it. But thanks for the idea.

Here is what I have found out about the coin I found today.
1842 One Penny Bank Token?Front: Bank Token, Half Penny 1842, Montreal (Concordia Salus) Back: Province of Canada, Bank of Montreal (Bank Building)

The pictures are not my coin but look just like it. The only difference is mine says one penny not half penny. Thanks! Steve.
