Default Let down at construction site

Well.. I worked 11pm til 7am. Was tired but wanted to hit construction site before the heat. 3 hours with jackiddy squat. (Insert Price is Right loser music here) Large corner lot that used to have old home. 1 1937 wheat penny, 1 tatterd up child's spoon, and a 1 busted up matchbox type airplane, with one wing. Oh well. I gave it a go. There were 3 large mounds that i tried to hit. Awfully steep and very rocky. Did what I could. Looking back... I'd def try it again if situation arises. I did also score some scrap metal for my brother in laws scrap bucket. Safe to say he did better than me for my effort.

All I can say is you didn't get skunked. If you didn't go at all you would be kicking yourself. Anytime I go out and just find one penny is a good day. Just to go out and hunt is the real treasure

Talking not squat!

Actually, as you found out, its far better than your chances at the bar... You're ALWAYS sure to come home with SOMETHING!

Dag right both of ya!!!. I found the wheat penny early, and was just hoping sign of things to come. Silver coins sink deep and fast here. Gotta look for the "advantage" of moved soil. I don't regret giving it a whirl.

Any day with at least a wheat is a good day!

It could've been better, granted.

I occasionally hunt piles of dirt the city moves. Somedays I get good stuff other days it's a bust, but any day detecting is better than a day not detecting.
