Default My First Gold Coin!!!!!

I am stoked to the very gills!!!! I was about to call it quits after a burnt run this morning. But we had a little rain yesterday and I wanted to try a little digging this morning in a location that has yielded three half dimes stuck together, a seated quarter, a two cent piece, some bullets, a sword hook, etc. I had to hack a wrist sized cedar root out of the way and under it was this Dollar Gold coin. I was using my XP Deus.

Congratulations! Really nice find. Its nice to see someone in TN found something that old as it doesn't seem like there is much old to be found here. How deep was it?

That is a fantastic find. I would be stoked to the gills too after digging that one.

Good luck on that patch of dirt as it appears to be very fertile ground.

HH.

Thanks guys. It was about five inches down. Oh, Tennessee has some old relics, it's just finding where Civil War troop movement was occurring or just finding old square nails in the ground where once stood and old dwelling. Thanks again for the great relies y'all!

Well I got the square nail finding down pat (see a recent post of mine lol) its just that I haven't found anything else really old other than one 3 ringer. I want old coins! Most relics don't sell for much. Old coins, gold and silver does. You are so lucky finding gold!
