One Good Thing To Come From Several 90-100+ Degree Days
The heat played to my advantage. A park from the 50's that I have hunted before produced some unusual findings in this searing heat we've been having in the midwest.
I was walking a park and I noticed an unusual patch of grass much drier than the rest of the park. When I walked up a nearby hill to look at it, I saw a perfect baseball field shape to the grass. There was no backstop. No evidence at all there was a ballfield there before. When they took the ballfield out they must have used different grass that can't handle the heat as well as the rest of the grass. Hit what was once the home plate and outfield areas and the clad started popping. No silver though.
