Default Lots of rings this morning

Went out this morning and hit a county beach that I have been to one other time with my Beach Hunter. Found a lot of junk rings including a mood ring. Found 21 bobby pins (hey Hobbes I can see why you always say you despise those things) a car key and the usual assorted junk. The best find of the day was a 1944P silver war nickel. I will have to try angellionel's ammonia trick to see if I can get it cleaned up.

Default A fun morning, no doubt!

Glad you had fun. I went to another place this am, but only found pull-tabs and some coins, no rings. Had fun, though.

Thanks minereader. It was a fun morning but for almost four hours of swishing I was hoping for at least some silver jewelry. I found a gold band awhile back with my DFX and thought going in the water would give me a good chance at some gold.

We had figured out, years ago, that, on average, when you found "X" amount in change, or "X" number of pulltabs, statistically you should find "X" number of gold rings. I forget what all the "X's" were, but you exceeded that number. Of course the next time you go, you might find fewer targets, but more rings. Funny how that works, isn't it? Good Luck!
