Default Two Days of Hunting

In the first two pictures I am at the park where they are building the new school. I managed to pick up $8.11, the heart pendant with zircons, a broken knife, and a school mascot pin. Today I hit the football field at the high school. I talked to the custodian and he said someone had already been in there with a metal detector. He ask if I could help locate the pegs on the football field, which took an hour. It has a baseball field next to it with bleachers between the two that had been moved about a 100 foot strip. I couldn't swing without hitting a quarter. There seems to be coins all over the place, even in the field. I ended up with $27.27 and a smiley face with his tongue sticking out. I thought for sure I would find some rings under the bleachers, but not a one yet.

Nice Job! How do your forearms feel? Thats a lot of diggin !! I have a park that used to be like that near me. I am still finding things there. Go back, slow down and hit the same areas from a different angle, you will be suprised.

That's a boatload of quarters - that was awful nice of the other MDer to leave those for you!

Love the indian head pin and the old pocket knife - looks like you found a good spot.

I think the bleacher was still there when he was there but there is a lot of coins in the field that he missed

90 quarters is amazing.

How many zincolns, pull tabs, foil, and bottle caps did you dig? You have to dig about 500-1000 to get one gold ring. Silver rings come in like dimes or pennies or lower.

There has to be a ring there, but there is very little ways of telling it from symmetrical smooth sounding junk.

I haven't dug too many pull tabs as I have been concentrating on coins now.

Then you are not even trying for jewelry yet. Too bad there isn't any silver coins.

No. I'm just concentrating on coins right now. Have dug a lot of nickels though. One day when I'm bored I'll start digging pull tabs and see if I can find some jewelry.

90% of the silver rings I have dug came in as a dime or quarter....only 2-3 came in as low as a penny and they were real small child sterling rings.....if your digging all dime and quarter signals u will eventually get a silver ring

The silver rings I have dug came in around the dime signals
