Default Got my Harbor Freight tumbler last night

Tumblers were on sale at Harbor Freight so I stopped by the store last night. $34.99 + 20% off coupon = $29.67 after tax. I also had a coupon for a free flashlight with a purchase of $9.99 or more. So I got that too. Not too bad of a deal!

I got a batch running now. I didn't take pre pics but we all know what dirty dug up coins look like. I will try to remember to get pics of the clean money. Also, try looking through other threads on here. I know a lot of folks have posted the results from using the HF tumbler. Don't think you can go wrong buying one.

Sweet I got mine last night to. There was a waiting list for the 3LB so I got the 6Lb with the 2 year warranty. Belt was way to loose so I tightened that one, and in 5 minutes the set screw came loose. Tightened that back up and it ran perfect. Ran most of my clad for 4 hours with no gravel just water and soap and this is the finished product. Not super clean but readable.

Talking Tumbler

I have been thinking about buying a tumbler. How long do you have to run it for for coins? Is it safe for older coins without damage. Also could someone let me know what brand they use and if they would recommend it. I usually dig all my coins in the dirt and would love to just have any easy way to clean without spending too much electricity

Default tumbler

I also bought the 3lb. tumbler at Harbor Freight. They have 20% off coupons in the back of Car and Driver magazines, so it ends up being under $30.00. Have had no problems with the tumbler. Great deal for the price. Best and easiest way to get clad clean enough to spend.
