doesn't sound bad for 600 but i'd question the "under and hour" of use with those scratches around the buttons.........offer him 500

About 100.00 too much in my opinion. I have seen E Tracs go for 850.00. I have seen SE Pros go for 675.00. The new Minelab has lowered the price on all lower models. Right now the market is flooded with Explorers and E Tracs. Supply is more than demand. The older Explorers still get good reviews. But shop around a little on the forums.

Agree with dogpound. Shoot him an offer of $500 and see what his response is. And like goodmore just posted, there are a lot of detectors out there right now. I would take my time and do some checking around. Good Luck!

That display and buttons looks like 500 hours of wear not 1
Notice they didn't take a picture of the bottom of the coil? I bet it has more than 1 hour of scratches too...

He might have used it for an hour. But what about the guy before him. He doesn't say he paid 1000 for it new that's just what they were running. He might have got it off of Craigslist himself. Good luck

I agree with dogpund. It does look like it might have been used over an hour, due to the look of the various minor scratches around the buttons. I would shoot for 500$ and if he agrees, i would take it off his hands. But if you are not sure if that is the detector you really want, i would do some looking around for a detector that you possibly want more. There are alot of models out right now, and you have to do some looking around for the one that best fits you. find a detector that you think works the best for you, and that the language of the machine is right for you. Different detectors have different languages. So explore and find something that you think would do good for you.

Thanks everyone. I don't know what I want, I like the ace 350 but its annoying and pinpoint mode has the same sound for everything. Is there something similar that has a different sounding "pinpoint" mode?
