Default Reverse Electrolysis

I was cleaning my clad today. I have some older pennies not worth much other than the copper value. I was wondering if anyone has actually tried to plate the older coins using copper wire to a copper penny? I would be curious.

Probably tens of thousands of kids have electroplated coins, although, doubt many if any, had intentionally electroplated copper, with copper. Seems a little pointless. Sort of need clean metal to plate anyway...
