Default Copper sawblade?

Found this today at between an 1865 and 1869 house in Tosa.
I can't imagine a sawblade made of copper, but what else could it be?

Looks more like a picture hanger. The teeth aren't right for a saw.

Maybe something along the lines of this.

that's what i was thinking too, or possibly a bi-metal blade, copper back with a hardened steel edge.
copper by itself would be way too soft to use for a saw blade.

How long is it? Could be the blade that a meat market would use to cut butcher paper off the roll. Come to think of it, before paper sacks, most stores would wrapped items purchased for their customers.

Default maybe

I'm afraid it might break, but I'll try.
It's solid copper with small holes on each end.
It's probably 3/4" wide and 12" long.

OK, it broke, but I got the dimensions.
It's 5/8" by about 9 inches.
I like the serrated "paper tearer" idea.
Like on the boxes of aluminum foil.

Oops! oh well....
i don't know the dimensions for those curry combs, but the paper or foil cutter sounds like a good possibility too.

Could be high voltage electrode from a laser printer. Placed underneath the photo drum, to attract toner to paper...
The only problem is, how it would get there :P

Check this out:
http://brightpacking.en.made-in-chin...rier-Tape.html

They said 'pot' instead of 'potted' in the description, but it looks like people put serrated copper strips around the rim on potted plant containers to prevent slug infestation (apparently they don't like copper, and they also can't ooze over the serrated top).

If you google "copper barrier tape" you'll get a bazillion hits.

Just a guess....
