anybody out there use a device called the hip stick which supports your detector from a bungee and a harness to your hip, all you do is steer it along, Its amazing.

I made a harness using just a old laptop bag strap. I attached a bungie at the end of that that connects to a DRing on the detector. It feels like it floats when I use it. Plus I have learned how when I walk, posture is what is important. There are times when I "reach" for the ground which causes me to constantly lean forward. By changing that, I found it is much easier
