Smile hi all i am a newbie to forum
i have md before, it's been a long time, my md is ancient , it's a pioneer 202 bounty hunter. after finding this thread tonight, it makes me want to go out and do some hunting tomorrow. i will start with my own property, will keep ya posted if i find anything.

Welcome to the forum! Stick with the hobby! I have a Lonestar Bounty hunter, and it is a pretty good beginner detector i think i'm going to get a Tesoro compadre as my new detector. I like their detectors alot

The 202 will find the coins, read the instructions a few times. I like mine real well.

I too have a BH Pioneer 202 and my next upgrade is going to be the Tesoro Compadre. I have been detecting off & on for many years but have really only seriously gotten into it this year and have found my best finds to date. I've gotten 4 silver dimes (1916 Barber, 1935 & 1941 Mercury and 1 1964 Rosie). And I've gotten a number of wheat pennies. And I was able to help locate a lost wedding band with success -- so the BH Pioneer 202 will do the job. Learning it is the key and I think I have finally figured it out with the help of Bonesquat (who used to have one also). He has a Compadre and recommends it. So I'm working on getting one soon.
