Default Civil War Token

Got this civil war token from a Mobil gas station not too long ago in some change. Wish I had noticed sooner or I would asked him to change me a dollar for all pennies!

It's even more strange because it's such excellent condition.

They date around 1860's and average about $5-$20 based on condition so I figure it's worth about $15-$20 however...

Everything, and I mean everything I can find about them, states they say "IT MUST AND SHALL BE PRESERVED" on the back, but for some reason this one clearly says "IT MUST AND SHALL BY PRESERVED".

Does anyone know anything about these? Would this increase the value?

Either way it's such a cool coin and love having it in my collection.

Thanks in advance!

That's weird, I have that token too and it says 'and shall be' instead of 'and shall by' nice error coin!

Great find and impressive condition! Wonder what knucklehead spent THAT as a penny? Congrats!
