Default Best hunt ever today using the Deus

Found a new yard to hunt this morning. And while I was hunting it, the owner of the house next door said: when ya get done there, you're welcome to come over here. And while I was hunting that yard, I guy across the road said: You are welcome to hunt my yard is ya want. I was running out of time and asked him if I could hunt it tomorrow morning and he said :sure". The three half dimes where stuck together!!!!! I put them in boiling water and finally got them apart without marking them. I also found TWO V-Nickels!!!!! And to top it all off.....a 2 cent piece!!!!!!! Wow!
My relic hunting wasn't as plentiful but still found a first: The big iron grapeshot. That, along with some pieces of camp lead and a pistol bullet and a 58 cal Minie completes the list. Of yeah, and a decorative lock plate. Or half of it anyway. What a day. I hunted in number 2 program mainly. But also number one and number three, and number five (which I have altered to be zero disc and 12 khz). And on top of it all...the weather was cool all day. I will never forget this day.

Dates on the three Half Dimes: 1837, 1840, 1850. Dates on the V-Nickels: 1893, 1904. Date on the Two Cent piece: 1865

That is a hell of an outing Kevin! I think that barring the crazy eye popping finds that turn up every now and then, your outing is about as good as one could possibly hope for - I know I would be ecstatic about a hunt like that! Nice job!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Happy hunting and similar luck, and even better, to all who go out hunting today. I know that I am going to hit it for a few hours this morning. Just slip those headphones on, make necessary adjustments to the machine, and escape to years gone by for a few hours. It is really hard to beat. PLUS, we are saving all of these relics from being dozed up, paved over, built over, etc etc. Happy Hunting to all today!

Those are some awesome old coins, WTG! I hope you get to go back to those yards and put in more time there.

The only kind of coin I've found in your pic there is a V nickel...The rest allude me. You got all in ONE hunt...crazy.

Fantastic! Any one of those coins would have been great all by itself, but you found several great ones! Congrats!

Strange comment....KT did not see that he posted any dates for the coins in his commentary...but let the pics speak for themselves!

Anywho, Royal applause for YOU and your Deus!
