Default Sidewalk search produces a Mercury

Driving to work yesterday - see more sections of sidewalks being removed. A few weeks back I found a silver quarter, Rosie and a 1910 wheatie by a corner house that was getting a new sidewalk. This time a 1940 Mercury and a 1941-D wheatie. 3 silvers coins in under a month. That beat my entire 2007 totals to date. Been one poor year on silver finds, glad to have found three relatively quickly.

I love it when they rip out streets or sidewalks .. I'm always there to get the goodies!

Nice.....I'd love to find a Merc. I've found a bunch of silver Rosies, but no dimes older than that.

The M6 is still waiting to be taken apart and sent back to White's for them to look over. I do want to do one more test with it before sending it back. Long story short, the M6 is a piece of garbage. Hopefully they'll find something wrong and fix it, otherwise I'll feel guilty trying to re-sell it to someone. By the by, saw more sidewalk areas ripped up on the way in to work today :0)

OZ,

hit me up if you need a sidewalk hunting partner!

BTW, I'm going to the old tuberculosis sanitarium grounds tomorrow to hunt the wooded areas, hopefully I can pull at least one oldie out of there (they use the grounds as a park and old people homes, but it was set up in 1905 as a sanitarium). I'll let you know about anything found.

Joe

Wish I could join yah! MI next week for me - fishing and MD'ing. Ahhhhhhh.
Sounds like you have a good place to hunt - watch out for poison ivy.

BTW - did the last of the torn up sidewalks and no silver, but a bling-bling.

Nice job on the merc! I hit a couple tear-ups this summer but did not have any luck with the silver. I can see how they would be very productive given the right location.
