Depending on how much you want to spend it may be cheaper to just buy one. I just made a carbon fiber straight shaft and it cost it more than if I was to buy one, but its completely a one off and exactly what I wanted. Aluminum is much cheaper, I bought mtn bike bar ends for the handle configuration, Anderson Ultimate cuff and fiber lower and had a custom sized shaft made, the shaft alone was $80. But it was worth it, it's a different detector. Standard shaft sizes are 7/8", considering the only thing I reused was control box, coils and control adapter, everything else was new so if you want to reuse most of your hardware, it will be definitely much cheaper and rewarding.
You should be able to get any 7/8" aluminum shaft from either a boat yard perhaps or hardware store, actually some of those aluminum paint roller handles might be 7/8" and they like $8-15. Accessories - They make nice shafts http://www.andersondetectorshafts.com/ Plugger http://rodsbyplugger.com/ __________________ |
