Default aluminum casing ?

I found this aluminum tube .Any ideas what could have been made for ?
I found also a nazi coin from 1941 and a coin from 1924.
Small plate as well and some revolver lead bullets.

Default Guten tag!

Perhaps you could describe where you found that tube and how deep it was?

It reminds me case of a signal pistol ammo a bit but diameter seems to me smaller

Well,
perhaps it's not from a signal pistol after all .Because it has no rand.
Diameter is 15 mm and lenght is 80 mm.
This small hole was perhaps intended as an air valve ?:

Guten Tag matmit !
it was found yesterday in an old path of the woods.
Some 3 inches down in hard compacted clay soil.
I guess it could be from WW2 ,like the many bullets ,casings, and
countless granade splints I have already found.
But you know how it is, modern and old items stay at the same place.
Viele Grüsse and HH,
Ramm
