I found a aluminum 1930's missouri tax receipt token any ideas on cleaning aluminum?

I use baking soda and water paste to scrub it. Maybe a quick bath in lemon juice or vinegar, then neutralize in baking soda and water. Also a plastic dish scrub pad, finger nail, or toothpick.

I usually just use toothpaste and toothbrush, seems to work pretty decently. Not quite done with this one but this is just a couple mins with the scrub.

Missouri tax tokens... AFAIK, they were made of zinc and later plastic. They don't tend to cleanup very well.

Oklahoma tokens are aluminum too and hard to clean. Some cleaning methods will damage the aluminum, pitting it.

I agree..!! Even getting them wet will make them worse & fade in color, best to leave them as is straight out of the ground..
