What a con job. Their site has this count down, full of suspense, suck the people's interest in and then it says wait 11 days for the details. The countdown to zero was a zero alright.

at the very end it says WiStream, so I am guessing it going to have a type of Wi-Fi on it as well?

I'm very interested. Keep in mind that their clientele spend more for detectors and are typically very serious detectorists. They had to do the water proof thing cause the AT Pro was hurting them IMHO. I expect the price to be about 2K. I hope I am wrong and it is 499 dollars But, I will seriously be watching this one and will purchase if it is manageable.

That was a tease designed to get people like you and me to start talking about it and its working. I'm a Garrett man but this new 3030 has my attention. Lets just see how much it costs.

Yeah, you are definitely right about that. Corporate strategy I guess. Seems all the rage these days is all about the XP Deus. Lots of people on other forums thought for sure that Minelab would come out with something to directly compete with that machine. Myself, I try not to get taken in too much by all the hype for this or that machine. Getting too caught up in all that stuff is a good way to spend a lot of money for a lot of disappointment.

We had a Minelab rep speak at our detector club meeting a couple weeks ago.
He was pretty tight lipped about new things that they will be introducing. My best guess is that they will be introducing their version of a pro pointer.

So it is a cross between the e-trac and Excalibur. Wow. But I bet with double the sticker.

Default What if the CTX3030 combines VLF with PI technology?

Looks like it has at least two things in common with other Minelab machines.

A) It's heavy

B) It's expensive

Rumor mill sets the price around $2500-$3500 right now.

350,000 zincolns to pay for it. Way WAY too rich for my blood.

Default Nice!

Deep inside Minelab headquarters...

"So, should we name it after the Cadillac or the rifle?"

"I know, let's name it after BOTH! We'll call it the 'CTS 30-30!'"

5-lbs, $2,700.00
