Smile Penny Quadfecta spanning last 3 centuries

I met up with my dad to hit some new old sites, but the first site no one was home even though two cars were in the driveway. So we headed over to another farm hoping the farmer could show us where the old cabin was torn down & relocated. Come to find out I walked right past it last time . After 1.5 hrs of nothing - not even a button or a buckle , I headed over to the spring house.

For some reason, I was struggling all morning getting weird one way phantom signals. On the path I got a jumpy signal, so I got the first couple of inches removed so I could rescan - now it was reading sweet. Down another 4" was this toasty green disk ( I would later find in the right light I could see the bust resembling the Bust Cap Lg Cent)

That calmed me right down and now anything after this was icing on the cake! So we headed back over the first site. Now there's 3 cars , but still no answer. So Dad and I decided to head back to our new honey hole - rental property on my uncle's farm - He said it's colonial & I proved that 1st trip - 1760 Irish Half Penny.

I've been there twice and my dad three times and we keep pulling better finds each time. This site has bad interference from the barn causing both our detectors to randomly grunt & chirp. On top of that, this site is trashy - lots of iron! So I grid'd going low and slow digging anything above iron. In 10 minutes, 3 wheaties- all the signals were reading lower than normal & very inconsistant. Very few smooth repeatable signals since Dad already cleaned up the easy targets. Not too much longer I pulled a colonial coin & my new oldest coin! 1747 KG II

Right next to KG II were two crappy Zincolns! Minutes later I pull this nice 1875 IH

Now I'm thinking all I need is a Lg Cent & I got a Penny Quadfecta from ONE site. An hour later, I'm getting thirsty so I head to the truck for a drink when I hear a Quarter signal. After messing around for a few minutes to even locate a digable target, I see this sweet green disk in the hole!

I show dad and he takes it a puts it in his pocket like it was a good luck charm or something. (He hasn't found a large copper yet, but he will)

So that was a penny from the 1700/1800/1900's as well as colonial halfpenny + 3 major US cents to make a quadfecta. I'm normally not this chatty/long winded, but I'm stoked!

I finished up this site with:
1747 KG II Half Penny
1817 Lg Cent
1875 IH
(18) Wheaties
1 button
+ small amount of clad

Looked like a storm rolling in so we left

Since my dad was going on vacation, I borrowed his AT Pro and headed next day to another colonial site near me. Pulled my 2nd KG, this time it is a 177x KG III.

The best two consecutive days of hunting for me ever.
Thanks for looking.

I'm still in shock that this really happened. Heck I'm having a hard time believing my dad and I have pulled 49 wheaties from this farmhouse so far.

I'm convinced there is more old stuff here awaiting to be discovered b/c we have yet to hit that layer with buttons and buckles.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.

VERY nice, not all that is cool is silver or gold. Finding a span of time, in cents, would be very cool.
