Hey Jim, it was so nice to meet you and your wife! I still can't get over the turn out, and all of the really fantastic folks that came. It was so nice to see so many wives as well, just a great start! Looking forward to taking you to Kingston sometime, or out to Long Island!

Default Wow!

I walked in a little late due to spending 30min trying park so I apologize! Next time I won't miss the meeting! I was amazed with the turnout, whoa!
I caught up with everyone and stayed until my parking meter time ran out which was about 9:30pm. Terry, you did good! I applaud you for your hard work

Hey Terry sorry about going back and forth on weather I was going to make the last meeting. Unfortunately with my wife doing the stay home mom thing I have been working some silly hours to try and make up the second salary, and sometimes those shifts come at the last minute. the last month has been a pretty steady 90-100 hours weeks. I will do my best to make the next one I really want to meet all you guys.

July 18th, Wednesday, 6:30pm at the PorterHouse http://www.porterhousebar.com/ on Mamaroneck Avenue. I will put out a club email shortly. Jimmy, down in Yonkers came up with a beautiful design and logo for the club, and we are trying to decide on a name. So far we have:

Hudson Valley History Detectives

Hudson Valley History Detetectors

We will be doing a 50/50 raffle next time. Bring the family. A lot of Wives come, and you can get the children burgers. Trying to get Rob Hoch, the White Plains Historian to attend our next meeting as well.

The nice thing is that so far we are pretty informal. No officers or dues, just hobbyists networking. Hope to see you there!

Try to come to the meeting. Nice group of people, very informal. Some of us hunt the Yonkers/Bronxville/Tuckahoe area more often then not.

Looking forward to it!
Just a heads up, allow yourself some time for parking. Terry, any suggestions on this? Parking is always an issue in the area, can you give us some alternates that would be a sure thing? We have such a large amount of people attending

Get there at 5:45pm and get a burger! I tried to pick a spot with the biggest parking lot in town, but as we Westchester residents know, parking in downtown White Plains can be a pain..

Last month we started discussing alternatives to downtown, just have not come up with a better place yet that serves beer, coffee, wine, soda and good food!

Did you EVER think so many nice folks would show up?

I guess the earlier the better.. Good point!
No, I didn't realize so many people would show. I missed the last meeting, any newbies to the group? I'm trying to get mtnbiker there! Get your creative juices flowing and get some t-shirts made!! I need to buy a few. I love the name...perfect for us and professional. It gives us a really positive appearance.

Default A suggestion

Here's an idea. How about we have a contest amongst the group to design the logo? Each member could submit their design anonynmously then have a silent vote for the favorite?
