Default Time for a New Detector!

Well I dug out my old Bounty Hunter eliminator X3 this weekend and decided I was gonna play with it for awhile and learn some before deciding to buy a new one. Well I put new batteries in it an it comes on but its not running right and going kinda haywire so I guess I'm gonna end up getting a new machine sooner than expected.
I'm a beginner an looking at the
Garrett Ace 350
And
Garrett AT Pro
The at pro is a lil outta my price range but if it's worth the xtra $$ I can dish it out. I am a beginner an the I only thing Iv ever found was a rusty 2 foot piece of pipe buried about 6" down lol. I don't wanna buy a small machine just to end up having to buy a bigger one down the road so what do y'all think of the 2 I have selected?? Opinions please!!!!
Thank you In advance and Happy hunting!!

I have the Ace 350 and am very happy with it. I am a newbie myself just started a month ago but find it a very good machine. I may upgrade someday but not any time in the near future. I believe the At pro has a lot more features but dont know much about them.

I tried the 350, and currently own the AT Pro...that should tell you what I think. It IS worth the extra money!

I paid for my AT Pro within the first 3 months of buying it..but it just took one gold ring to do that. I did find many great items with the 350, I just liked the extra depth and abilities with the AT PRO. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Ya I have been reading every article I can find on the 350 and have not read 1 bad review. I stopped by a local shop today hoping they had 1 I could look at but they only mainly carry whites but had a 250 in stock. I figured the at pro is a whole lot more machine but it would be something to "grow" Into and I like that it is completely waterproof and I would like to hit some swimming holes around here.

What other abilities does the at pro have that the 350 does not that you like the best?

I bought a fisher f2 for my first detector, and it was better than anything I had ever had. I took my wife with me one day and she was hooked so I gave her the f2 and bought an atpro for me. The atpro is an amazing machine. It takes some getting used to but when you do its great. As far as coins go if it says its there its there.

Well it seems like the At Pro is gonna be the way I go. Lol
As soon as Payday comes!!!

I was gonna look into getting my bounty hunter fixed because it seems like it may be an easy fix but the guy at the shop said throw it away but I really wanna get a second opinion first. Are the Bounty Hunter eliminator X3 worth anything?

Welcome from Long Island, New York. I use an ACE 350. Its a good machine, but from what I have heard and read, The AT PRO is far superior.

Default silver uMax?

Have had my silver uMax for about two years now. One awesome little machine. Add a pro pointer and A lesche. Good to go. This little guy has found me over 15 gold rings already. A number of gold chains etc etc... Really like it. One 9 volt will run it for quite some time. It's light weight etc. Anyways... The others sound good too. Good luck. Have fun. But gotta say... Love The silver uMax. Lol

Ya the man at the shop advised me not to. He said it would either cost more than its worth or they wouldn't make parts for it anymore.
I may just try an sell it for parts I don't think it's something majorly wrong. So I may be able to get a few dollars for it
