Default Back in a big silver way...

I hadn't done much hunting this week, I got out one day with Craig and managed a Merc and a little clad...[IMG][/IMG] Today Bueller and I decided to go loot silver from someone else's hunting grounds...Wasn't hard to figure out where exactly to look, the last hunters didn't hide their holes good enough, and whoever they were, they was nice and left us some silver. Bueller dug 3 Rosies and a Merc, and after a slow start, the Captain got on the board with a Merc. My next silver was deep, one way reading silver half, the other way garbage...I checked it again and decided 'what the hey', I'll dig it. 7" down and off to the side, I pulled my first half that's...not a Walker! Finally! Later on, I ended the hunt with another Merc, by now it was raining and we called time. Here's my dirty finds, some clad, 3 Wheats, 3 silvers, and some odds and ends...[IMG][/IMG] I'll get to cleaning stuff up and be back with a few more pix. Thanks for looking!

Nice silver finds. What year is that Barber half? We like to see the fronts of the coins also, unless you're hiding a nasty gouge. LOL Good Luck on future hunts. : )

Here's the keepers cleaned a little...[IMG][/IMG]The cufflink is probably 100 years old...Wheats are '16, '41 and '54D. Mercs are 1936 and 1944D. The Barber Half is a 1907, and after 8 career Walkers, it's about damn time I dug a different kinda half...[IMG][/IMG]

Way to go captain!

You easily dig more half dollars than anyone on this forum! I so envy you!!

I dug my first half 2 days ago, a clad 1971 Kennedy, but a half nonetheless

AHHHHH a Barber half! I came to the realization that I will never find one of them and bought one last week on a auction site. Big congrats to you!
