KelleyCo lost my money this week when I called to order AT Pro-Ace 350 2 pro pp-diggers etc and talked to a guy that sounded like he walked when Jesus did. He had no clue what the Friendly Metal Detecting Forum was, and his price sucked. I did call a few others and their price was better but nowhere near what NED did...Amazing!!

.....Now here is another real testimony of their "trained metal detector specialists"/sales staff having no clue...

Glad you got hooked up with NED...

I just bought a third party coil from Kellyco, it did not inclued a cover, which the manufacturer said came standard. It seems they want to make more money selling things that should come with the product. A seperate shipping charge is almost as much as the cover, I'll buy elsewhere...

Maybe kellyco will join in for some damage control. I still want talk about the plumb bob and ethics with their advertising about it

Glad to see I'm not the only one. Still waiting for a "supervisor" to call me. It seems a supervisor is the only one that can cancel my order through PayPal. Kellyco told me to call PayPal to cancel. PayPal said kellyco has not cancelled the transaction on their end yet. Here we go with the he said, she said stuff.

Another thing that just flat out makes me angry is how KelleyCo uses the free stuff that comes with the detector from the company as a "FREE" value of such and such money. They have no cost into this free stuff but make it look like they are hooking a brother up with it. I think they deal in volume too much to care really how the customer feels. The smaller guys like NED/BIGBOYS etc have to treat people like gold and have good prices or they would fall by the wayside...My dealings with Andrew at NED are second to none. And the package deal I got was almost $200 dolla cheaper then anywhere else!!!!

Thumbs up CMD came through for me!

On a Monday I called K-Co and 3 other sponsors when I needed a new coil and needed it by Friday. Rich at Colonial Metal Detectors was the only one who could get it to me guaranteed by Friday for my Saturday Group Hunt. And he tied one of them in price and beat the others by a few bucks. I won't take my business anywhere else now, since Rich is 3 for 3 on good deals for me. I can't praise him and CMD enough.

I try to stick with the sponsors whenever possible, but there are a couple on here that I will never use. I've purchased from Rich at Colonial a couple of times. Fast shipping, good prices. Bart at Big Boys will get my next purchase as he has always answered my emails and calls regardless of who I went with. It's nice that the moderators have let this thread continue to allow members to vent a bit as it can be frustrating. I am surprised that Kyco hasn't contacted you about the situation. Glad to hear Garrett came through for you...

Well my outlook is like this. I feel that if the admins close this thread they are more less telling us to deal with problems outside of this forum although I think it is very important we share our positive and negative encounters with anyone regardless of sponsorship of this site.

I purchased 3 detectors from KelleyCo over the last several years only because at that time it was easy and painless. KelleyCo chick helped me through everything and I felt I got a great deal/service etc. I was out of the game for a year or so and now that I got back in a position to upgrade to a new detector (2 in my case.1 for me 1 for wife) I was very surprised to find many other site sponsors. I called KelleyCo first and spoke to Rodger. He had no clue what FMDF was and his price to me was pretty much what KelleyCo listed. So I moved on to call Bart and speak to him. His prices and helpfulness was on point but he was out of 3/4 of the stuff I wanted. So I moved on to NED and Andrew. Talking to Andrew was like talking to on of my close buddies. We chatted about other stuff, and of course metal detectors. I know for a fact that there is no other online/phone/in person dealer that treats his/her customers as nice and easy as Andrew did. If I was his boss Id be sliding him some extra cash or something for the attitude and sale ability. Anyhow I know I shouldnt base my opinion on 1 individual at KelleyCo but its hard not too..I also wanted to take the time to note that Andrew did not bash or slang out other md dealers..Regardless Good Luck and keep swinging. And btw what are we suppose to get from our sponsors? Discounts on prices?

Sorry, I don't agree. It states in the rules that if you have a problem with a sponsor, you need to contact the sponsor to rectify the problem.

If you want to leave feedback for a sponsor, please leave it in the feedback forum.

Threads that share positive and negative encounters does nothing but create hot threads, because one persons experience is not going to be the same as someone else.
