Default At pro control box cover......

I just wanted to post a couple of pics of my new AT Pro Control Box Cover... This was designed and put together by one of our AT Pro Group members... I'm not posting who it is, I let him chime in and tell you about this awesome cover.. He was kind enough to make and send me one...I'm a bit anal about my equipment and the only part of the AT I was really concerned with was it rattling around in the back of my truck and possibly scratching the screen... Well I have to say this cover is lined on the inside making it well padded... With the Velcro on the top it secures the headphones very securely... I have encouraged him to possibly make and sell them to interested parties.. So with some inquiring on this thread maybe he will come forward and take credit for a great piece of equipment to protect your screen.. I just wanted him to know how much I appreciate him sending me one...Thanks....D....

Glad you like it, Sonny!!

Sonny and I came up with the idea together in a discussion one night, and I just kind of took the ball and ran with it. Once I made the first prototype, I realized that there was really no good way to store the headphones while leaving them connected. So I added a velcro strap on top to secure them.

The final version came out way better than I ever expected. It's made out of a denim-type fabric and lined with fleece to prevent scratches and provide a bit of padding to the control box. It slips over the control box and secures tightly around the bottom by a drawstring that is secured with a spring-loaded button clasp. It is contoured to fit the control box like a glove, stays put, and provides protection from scratches and dust/dirt while the MD is not in use.

We haven't decided yet if we are willing to produce more to sell. Perhaps this thread will give us an idea of how many people would be interested in one.

That looks great!!! How much would one of these cost? That would be the deciding factor for most people.

Thumbs up

Good ideia, No matter how careful you are they still seem to get banged around a little in transit.

I give all the credit to Dave..Only me complaining that there should be a cover to protect the screen at the least was really my only involvement.. Next thing I know Dave has created a prototype and then perfected it.. It fits like a snug glove.. I do have a cover on the back of my truck but travelling I can now throw it in the back and not worry about the control box or screen getting scratched or cracked.. The velkro strap on the top was a brilliant idea, once the headphones are locked in they don't move....I have to say it is quality, from the design to the materials he chose to the craftsmanship in its construction.. It will last as long as the PRO will. Thanks again Dave..

I'm not sure exactly on price at this point. I didn't bother to keep track of time or materials because I only planned to make a couple of them. If I had to guess, it would be in the neighborhood of $20, give or take.

Here are a few more photos:

Default Thanks AirborneDave ;-)

Okay,,, you all know that I like custom things so I had to have this one trick pony. This is absolutely in the line for custom, and I am very picky how things are made. From a scale of 1 to 10 I rate this cover a 12. two extra points for I got one. Thanks myfriend, "AirborneDave"

Thanks Buzz,

I wouldn't trade my AT Cover for 3 of those wheels.. I put it on and throw the pro in the back of the truck and have no worries of it getting beat up or a scratched screen..Just saying... Thanks Dave..
