Default Got Me A Walker!

Got my first Walker of the year.....and to think just Wednesday I had my hip replaced! I got home Saturday from the hospital quite a transition to be back home. Sunday was quite tough, first full day of doing execises at home and moving around as much as I could made for a tough day. Today seems a bit better already felt like getting caught up a bit on posts and giving proper thanks to all who have been so kind.

I just wanted to say thank you to all those who have given me such kind words of encouragement and have bestowed their prayer upon me. I have so far done well, suprised the re-hab people a bit...but it does come at a price I will not hide that from you. All in all it is marvelous what they can do and this is just a small thing compared to what so many have gone through and are going through I will keep you all up to date and will be reading the forum regularly. Thanks so much and God Bless.

2 Corinthians 4
16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
(NASB)

The picture is of my "Walker" not sure of date but looks like mint condition to me!

Nicest walker I've seen to date! Have you figured out how to mount your ETrac on that thing yet? Hope you get to feeling better & love the scripture.

Can you get one with plastic legs? This way you can use the detector without any interference from the legs.

When you get up to the deluxe model give me a call and I can give you some tips I learned using mine . I use to have to use mine to get up and down to dig my holes . I have gotten strong enough now that I can work without mine most of the time unless I am a long ways from my truck where I might have to sit down awhile works great for packing water and detecting items I might need with me . Get well quick and be careful .

Congrats. A doc in rehab used to say "Well you look like your're walking to me!" . So you can do some hunting! Therapist are great and hard. Listen to them and keep moving, moving, moving.....

You cracked me up Harold! I called my wife in and the first thing she said was "Hey he has Bibs just like yours'! I had been using a walking stick to help get up and down before surgery and I hope that again will be my "weapon" of choice. I figured I would continue using it even if I did not need it since carrying it has become so ingrained in me. If I have too I too with take the deluxe route like you did. It would be cool to see a video of you using it in action just to see your technique. God Bless you my friend your indomitable spirit prevails over the weakened flesh..."ain't it great!"

Default WOW, first thought was "Head Shot, that'll bring down a WALKER"...

But I had just finished watching the latest episode of The Walking Dead!

Then I thought you got a Walker coin of some sort...

Then I opened your post and read it. That's a good looking walker for sure, and for you to be up and around that quickly after hip replacement is great!! Keep up with the PT and follow your doc's orders and get better soon.

That's funny that you and I thought the same thing. I thought no way is it a coin, it is probably zombie related then I saw the pic and almost fell out of my chair laughing in a humorous way. Bell-Two you have a great sense of humor in spite of everything. Hang in there my man and you will be swinging soon.
